The way the game's engine work is things are rendered in real time, which is why when you go to rewatch it your party is obviously missing from it. They threw in this feature on request really otherwise if it was an initially planned feature they likely would have retained the flag thst showed you and your party members but that's a lot of data to keep around in the long run.

Maybe in ARR it'll be possible if they think that far ahead otherwise if they stick with real time rendering it may not be possible.

Okay, I figured that was probably what was happening. If that's the case, I definitely want to let them know this is something that I'd like while they're still working on it! >.>

I love how I have to watch a cs every time I take an elevator or airship. I love how I can't always watch css because other pt members want me to skip them.
