ARR Software

I did a search first to see if there were any other threads with this info and couldn't find any. Please forgive a repeat question if I missed it though

Is there any information on whether or not the current player base will be required to buy the ARR software? I got the impression reading the "road map" that it would be sent to us before it was put on sale, but that was a while ago and I don't want to assume anything. Just curious if anything has been said

No, current players will not have to buy any software for A Realm Reborn. The new software will be distributed to us like a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge patch.

Well that's a relief. Not being like "poor me" or anything, but money's tight for a lot of people and I was sort of dreading having to fork out another $120 just for a couple discs :P

They'll distribute the new launcher and from there you'll download the whole game. I'm still planning on purchasing disks and possibly CE if there is one for the release, I just like to have a physical copy off hand.
