Okay i had a few Ati radeon's but i had the 4350 series much nicer 1 GB did well overclocked. In fact that is what i switched my GE Force 550 Ti Nvidia. I just got from Best buy on sale! Okay that is good on video card. However ATi is not recommended to play a lower video card should help in the Ati series. Can i see your computer Spec's you might not have enough ram or your intel or AMD microprocessor could be bad. I know that if your screen is flicking and you see dots that is microprocessor about to die and then you have no Post beeps. Then you are in trouble. try using at STart --->
Search ----> Msinfo32 ----> click on that and show us your comp. Windows 7 is okay but I run FFxiv so much better in Win 8. the Trial version for Enterprise runs for 90 days. so if your Microprocessor is not gonna go i would upgrade to Win 8 ----> however if you do this you cannot go back to Win 7 it is not backwards compatiblity.
If you need sites let me know. Just showing the Dxdiag from Direct x doesnt say enough for a specialist. Dont worry you should be up and running in no time. I bought my ATi radeon this year for 30.00 at FRy's i dont know if they are running that sale. It was a 2.0 Pci-Express. That is a major difference too. I have DDR5 now instead of DDR3 running for my video card. I would recommend DDR5 to run FFxiV. You need it in Thanlan, too hard to see anything. If you dont you lag for about 30 minutes.

(ati radeon HD 5770 with 1gb GDDR5 RAM lol) and it runs FFXIV pretty smoothly on settings tweaked just higher than standard, I haven't tried max but I run so much other crap on my computer constantly that I think it needs all the help it can get haha.
