Restarting my PC after crash. How can I get ahold of FFXIV?

I had to reset my computer after a crash back to factory settings. I have been a consistent player on XIV since last year and now I have no clue how to get ahold of the client. I was one of the few who bought the downloadable version.

Is there anyway to get ahold of the client now that I don't have the game? Thank you!

I just feel like there should be a situation for cases like this. I've been a paying customer, I hould have a way to redownload my game that i paid for.

As stated else where the game has been taken off shelves and SE was paying them to get rid of it. Understandable to want to d/l the game, that you brought. Seems SE dosnt want anymore FFXIV Ver 1.0 disks/downloads happening now. Ver 2.0 shoudl bring what your looking for.

I understand the hard copy not being available. But SE should make an effort to have the D/L available to customers who have obviously purchased the game. For example, like other games, I should be able to re-download the game from my square-Enix account management page at any time since I purchased the game via download from their website.

And once 2.0 rolls around, I'm just going to have to pay for it because I don't have my original download anymore. Only current clients will be upgraded for free, but since it's not on my computer I am pretty much screwed.

This really shouldn't be an issue. =/

I was never aware there WAS a DL-able version.

if that's the case I would first try the original confirmation e-mail you recieved and try to re-DL it using that same link.

if that does not work you're going to have to torrent an ISO and install it that way.

I also recommend getting in the habit of keeping digital copies of your games. for these exact situations.

If you really worryed about having to buy 2.0 again... As we stated download via torrent. And no where was it said in order to get 2.0 we need 1.0 on computer. Could be tied into accounts that we will be able to D/L from SE.

It's an entirely new engine. very little of the existing game will be taken. the only thing that might be salvageable is the textures for armor etc. almost all of the animations have been reworked due to the new engine.

seeing as they have the capacity to e-mail all of us, it will likely be a link via e-mail where we will DL or we might recieve some sort of special code and DL via the SE store.

They have implied it will be a digital delivery. but we will of course have the option of purchasing a a hard copy. although a lot of us probably won't bother. (unless there's a cool CE)
