    Digital Edition of FFXIV: ARR

    SE will you be providing us with a digital download client for ARR? i can understand not wanting to do it for 1.0 once you decided to remake the game but please allow us to download or purchase a digital download of ARR. Lets go Lightspeed into the future!

    They did allow it for XIV 1.0 at certain retailers (Direct2Drive I think it was.) There will no doubt be a Digital version of it since that's pretty much the standard practice these days, SE's site offers it for XI so I don't see why XIV won't pop up when the time is right.

    Not to mention they need a means of providing the new client to all the old users, and I doubt they are going to send us physical copies.

    i'm just hoping for some confirmation to set my mind at ease. i'm sure people with the game currently installed will get an update that will download the new client and DLM but i would like to know they will have a digital download for those who may have misplaced or lost their physical copy. i'm pretty sure they will do this but they didnt at all with 1.0 that i could find when i needed it.

    My guess is that when it's ready for distribution you will have to log in to the square enix member site and download it from there... but I guess we'll see how it gets handled when testing starts.

    I was on the impression that SE will provide a digital edition through amazon, just like how it did with FFXIV1.0 and XI before it.

    But after checking amazon I only found one link:
    FFXIV:ARR Preorder http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-...qid=1349481281 And it's probably not digital (LOL at the release date: This item will be released on December 31, 2013.)

    I'm sure we will see one very soon.
