Thread: Beta Test - starting soon?

Alpha doesn't start until the worlds go offline (On or sometime after November 11th, which is the Japanese only Alpha too) based on the last info we got through a gamewatch article. I doubt beta will start this year even.

If that happens, good luck finding ppl to play with when the game restarts. If they can't manage to have a "short" period of downtime they will loose lots of subscriptions.

So i registered for Beta at GC 2012 and got an email confirmation today.

Its in german but its basicly saying that my profile is saved and i have a "chance" to get one of the limited Beta keys.

The lucky ones get notified on a later date.

Ive applied for Alpha too but did not get any mail on that yet.
Dont know if it started yet but in last live letter it seemd like at least for JP it started.

Anyone else got any info they would like to share?

The alpha test hasn't started yet, much less the beta test. Nobody has any info, because no hard dates have been given other than the shutdown date.

Further i think yoshida mentioned Alpah starts end september early october for JP.
I could be mistaken on this.

Beta should start after servers are down.

For Tokyo Game Show's FFXIV ARR is the new trailer only. There are no test machines or like Gamescom 2012's live presention and on 11/11 all worlds will be closed followed by Producer Letter Live and go into Japan first Windows Alpha test.

This is why people want SE to be more straightforward with information. Who is correct? The Gamewatch article passing on info Yoshi stated, or the original Sep-Early October (which time is running out) date? You'd logically say SE, but so far it's quite obvious nothing is on track.
