Higher drop rates would be too much? I honestly don't agree. I've done this event with successful claims from beginning to end with small groups and this event is too much.
It may not be a big deal to people that can sink that kind of time easily, but it is when there isn't enough time left.
I get how many of you are saying that it discredits the people who already achieved getting the hat. For those that have it, fantastic, good for you, honestly I played FF XI and I didn't like investing 12 hours of my time, or 6 hours of my time for nothing except gear that needs to be repaired.
This event is getting people on edge or just plain annoyed, it's obvious that something needs to change in it. The Primal weapons are just as bad, though not equatable as these guys are easy kills. The tokens I suggested wouldn't be from every kill, that would be way too ridiculous. I'm talking maybe 1 in 20 kills would get a token and then you may need 10 or so tokens to get a hat.
This rewards players who are consistently doing the event, and the hats aren't tradable anyway so people who feel it would cause too much of an influx are missing the point. The reason behind an event is to be rewarded for participating in it. The way things are now it uses an outdated playing style and only really rewards people who want to blow all of their time on it. The other events haven't felt this annoying and there's only 2 things to "get" here.
