Non-dated items created using old recipes

I have a feeling this is information readily available however I've not found an answer thus far ~

Particular items in the game are created using old skool recipes. A notable example would be the Kite Shield.

This is created using a Scarred kite shield, a Mahogany lumber, Siltstone whetstone and a Buffalo leather strap (Black).

Will these items created using old recipes becomes U/U similar to the dated items and have their recipes wiped from the game or can I use one now, safe in the knowledge that once I'm done with said item I can sell it on to another buyer in version 2.0?

Well since the item itself isn't dated you can sell it and it's unlikely to become U/U, it's literally items labled "Dated:" that will become U/U.

What you're referring to is actually Vintage Kite Shield, which I doubt would become u/u as it's not "Dated Vinatage Kite Shield" to my knowledge, it also has a non-dated recipe.

Thanks very much Raldo. Looks like I should have checked that second recipe!
After seeing two recipes pop up for Darksteel ingot I've kinda gotten used to ignoring the second one, my bad!

As I understand it, the recipes for (dated) components like "Buffalo Leather Strap (Black)" will be gone. So my guess is that the 'Vintage' recipes will get reworked for ARR.

Good question OP, I guess we will have to wait and see.

The Vintage recipes were all updated long ago to have non-dated recipes. The Vintage Kite Shield is as follows:

Scarred Kite Shield
Aldgoat Leather
Mahogany Lumber
Siltstone Whetstone

This does not contain any dated materials.
