    Default Stances

    This may just be my 2 gil but when standing in a crowd of players things can seems like a sea of doubles, not because of how they look but because of how they stand.

    This is just a simple thing that would add more diversity to our characters, it comes with its share of problems and there may be valuable counter arguments against it, but the option to set your character into a 'stance' animation whilst standing around in the world in places like Uldah or waiting outside an instance doesn't seem like a terrible idea.

    For example the NPC's have their own standing animations for when they are not moving such as these:

    Most of these animation assets already exist available for these races from the NPC animations, and its something with infinite expansion possibilities.

    However there is one problem, and that comes down to 'foot-step' sounds, if an NPC such as the third image sligthly moves his foot, it sounds like hes taking a running step, this is very-very off-putting when 40 NPC's are are moving about take a visit to the Market Wards and stand in the middle of the retainers its hell for the ears.

    I doubt this is a feature of any real value, but I felt it an interesting idea to share, i'd like to hear your opinions on it good AND bad!
