Btw, you can't be a "PC" fanboy (or fangirl in my case) because PC is not a brand or label. It is a classification of hardware. An individual can be one for Microsoft or Dell or Mac, but calling one a "PC fanboy/girl" is inaccurate. Please try harder to make actual arguments.

I will state what others have stated before. Mac is a PC. To argue otherwise is to say you don't know what they are.

Ya know.. considering the hardware is identical.. lulz

Maybe you should concentrate more on the issue at hand and less on what labels people give you eh?

Anyone who would possibly argue that Windows is a superior computing environment needs to get out more. But hea, it's a forum so someone will make it.. soo if Windows is such a great environment and is easy to use etc etc.. Lets look at any old area of the system.. how about the C:\ drive for instance. A novice would ask "Why is it C:? Why not A?" To that you have to explain that it holds an archaic fall back to 80's floppy drives and hopefully you don't have to explain what a floppy drive itself is or why it is floppy. Innovative? Easy? On what plannet? But it gets better.. why would a modern operating system classify drives according to alphabetical charters, can you imagine a situation where there are more than 26 drives, partitions, usb sticks and cameras in a computer today? What if C:\My Documents\My Photos becomes full of photos? What then? Copy them all to D:\? Why is this core architecture of Windows stuck in the 80's? No other operating systems is. Mac's follow the Unix file system structure where storage is allocated to mount points, in this type of layout a user need not know what actual device they need to use to save files and and administrators can just allocate additional space where it is needed without changing the file system structure. /users/photos becomes /user/photos with more space... and don't even get me started on the Unix ZFS Filesystem, in that case you slap in a hard disk add it to the pool and space magically appears allocated by the volume manager.. along with all the other amazing features of ZFS that do not exist in Windows land.. but /sarcasm ZFS must not exist because we all know *only* Microsoft innovates with lots of great stuff like Internet Explorer and new and improved windows help to assist you with all the pirated/trial/shareware/ad ridden programs you use. :: roll eyes ::

One thing Microsoft is really good at though is advertising and convincing people who don't know very much about computers that they make good products.. for this A+

POSIX compliance and he's right. OSX is POSIX compliant.

That said, OSX and Windows are both s**tty OSes, OSX being the smellier turd of the two.

Partly but when you say POSIX people don't know what that means or how it benefits them. But getting into the core of it.. if you didn't know what C: already meant.. why would you think it a logical choice..? the truth is, you wouldn't.

It's not logical, but it's also irrelevant for the most part.
