What's a mac?
I'm sorry for helping you. Could you forgive me?Yes, but then i have to reboot in OSX to use my Mac Apps.
Or I can make a simple request for a native app. I mean does nobody even bother reading posts other than the titels anymore. I get there are work arounds, but I don't want to have to use those, I will use them, but i don't get why people get so uptight every time a Mac user asks for a native app(and no I do not believe it would steal to many resources considering GW2 is doing it and ArenaNet is not as big as SE, and before someone claims there is no market for it I go back to the fact that Blizzard and ArenaNet thinks otherwise).
I was probably a bit snarky there, but I was just annoyed at people telling me to do things I already acknowledged could be done. My point was not to point out workarounds, but to instead stress the fact that there are some people who would love a Mac native client. My biggest disappointment is that it is so hard to have a conversation about gaming on a Mac without it turning into a flame war.
I was working on a port a few months ago and have it available for download still; however the requirements are a bit strict. First you can only use an Nvidia GPU, and you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or above and should work in the latest release of Mountain Lion 10.8.2. If you have those two things you should be good to go. Please keep in mind it hasn't really been optimized as I was waiting for A Realm Reborn to continue work on it, so configurations settings and direct controller input isn't implemented yet.I was probably a bit snarky there, but I was just annoyed at people telling me to do things I already acknowledged could be done. That is allot of great work, but considering ARR will have a completely new client it will be obsolete. Still that is really good work.I was working on a port a few months ago and have it available for download still; however the requirements are a bit strict. Thanks, but yeah thats why I had stopped work on it lol. Once A Realm Reborn comes out it should be easier to port and optimize, so I'm waiting for that.
If you use Wineskin you can make it a stand alone app, it runs at about 80% of the speed as it does on Windows. Some parts actually ran faster than windows. (some of the graphical hiccups were gone on the mac, like the overall FPS was lower but the stuttering at random intervals was gone)
I'm up for more platforms and more languages for this game. The most people who can play it, the better for SE and for us.
