It's the *only* quest whose progress will carry over from 1.0 to 2.0 and this was stated in official announcements. Therefore, other than the form the On the Properties of Beastmen item will take, there isn't likely to be any significant change to this.

All other quests you have in progress will be reset. But if you've started the relic quest, you'll keep your progress on that.
