Relic quest won't be eased up anytime soon because more relics are being acquired than expected:

However, parts of the quest itself may be getting changed in ARR. This is a guess based on the fact that all of the CC and AV dungeon achievements are becoming unobtainable in ARR. Not to mention Aetheryte camps won't be the same in ARR so even the Faction Leve stuff could end up being different.
