Key Item removal - On the Properties of Beastmen

The following items will be removed from player inventories.

Guild Marks
Guild Treatises
Key Items

Special abilities and access to content obtained through key items will not be revoked. Player progress will be tracked through alternative systems.

At this time, we cannot comment on how changes to game systems will affect each and every item. However, rest assured that we are dedicated to preserving fairness and equality between players who have obtained these key items and players who have not.

I would appreciate a little clarification here, with respect to the Relic quest. Will the key item "On the Properties of Beastmen" be converted into some sort of hidden flag on each character, such that buying it for 25k GC seals will be preserved, even though the item itself will be gone? Or do I have to spam hamlets to get my remaining 6 seals before 2.0 or risk losing 25k seals because I haven't turned in the key item and 9 seals to Rowena yet?

Curious about this as well. The other key items seem fine, but this one feels like it's up in the air.

that 25K is gone now, maybe it wont be needed in ARR. all the changes are gonna hurt everyone in some way but were gonna have to deal with it. we'll find out how the game works soon.

Anything regarding Relic may be revised completely as they even said they're monitoring acquisition rates of relics.

I'm interested, but I doubt they would do something like remove the need for the item without refunding us the seals.

They give an example with the Chocobo and Goobue Mounts so it will most likely remain as a flag just not one we can view through a key item list, or they could change it into a regular item that we can then pick up from that overflow item NPC.

I was just giving an example. People think it's more plausible that SE will just take a dump on you for no reason when the entire purpose of ARR was to reconcile with the players.
