We need to be given the option to enter Hamlet at a lower rating

Simply put, we should not be forced to participate in the Hamlet if it is not on the Rating we want.
I wanted the Rating to stay at Level 1 so I could get a group together and complete the achievement for beating the hamlet without the assistence of any DoW or DoM.
I got very upset today because I was watching the supply count down to the last second. It stayed at around 2M out of the 3M needed so I figured it would not have made it to rank 2. I was watching the clock up until the end of the supply phase ending at 9:00:00, but at 8:59:58 the supply rating went to 2. Someone threw in 1M points worth to push it to rank 2 at the very last moment.
Note: I can understand that hamlet is popular recently because people want their seals for the relic quest.
I also understand that there is a chance I can still beat the hamlet like this on rank 2.

Still, if we as players do not wish to participate in rank 2 we should have the option to choose to go into the rank 1 instead.
This may come into play more when we get rank 3, rank 4 and so on. Maybe we will not want to go into the higher ranking because some people can not handle it due to the difficulty. I understand that 1.0 is almost over and you can not apply this change now so all I wish is to give my opinion and have the rest of the community post their agreements or objections on this matter.

Like this post if you agree we should have the choice to choose which rank to go into based off of the current rank it happens to get to.

I hate that system so much.


Its similar to the provison thing.. biggest willing gil pouch wins. They should just make a threshold that makes you a qualified provisioner (not considering other provisioner for threshold).

They also need to add in more quests or something else for the DoW.DoM (chocobo is so repetitive - though I suppose hamlet is also repetitive haha).

Perhaps you can go attack bestman camp during Hamlet build up and get extra point that way.

Agreed with the OP, though now that they made those certain achievements no longer require rank 5...I'm beginning to wonder if there will be a rank 3, 4, etc.

Actually it never required any rank. I got the no dol/doh achievment many many moons ago when hamlet was still a pretty new thing. It was a level 1

They were, in fact, rank 5 when Hamlet was introduced. I dunno if it was a ninja-edit on SE's part around 1.23, but now those achievements no longer require a particular rank.

the achievement description stated rank 5 but it wasnt required to get the achievement. rank 5 is not and never was possible. maybe in the future it will be but not yet
