^this is everything. casual players/unicorns, same differenceMarket wards will suck unless they are completly redone, but they are not game breaking.
In my eye 4 things are threatening to kill off 2.0.
1) Regional Servers if the population in all regions is not large enough to support a game where it only functions 8 hrs a day. IF there is only 1000ppl online a day... the server economy will crash and the game will more or less die out quickly even if it is strong in other areas... see Aion.
2) Population boom and drop. It will happen. SE needs to immediately server merge once the new game noobs leave. (too many mmos wait too long to merge servers.)
3) Lack of Endgame
4) Extreme casualness. What is killing WoW off. Listening to the playerbase is good caving into them is the worst thing ever. The customer very seldom is 100% right, honestly I will go as far as saying the customer is never right. Company need to listen but not blatantly do what the masses demand or you get clones and dull/insta-win/no innovation content.
Regional servers will save this game, not destroy it. FFXI worked but it was an older game and just a totally different breed. FFXIV needs the be lag free and for that to be guess what? You need regional servers. How often in FFXIV do you party with a group of French, German, or Japanese speaking people only? Rarely ever, majority of the time you play with your own main language. Language barriers already exist and prejudices happen based on this. This just make an actual physical barrier instead.
I really wish that people stopped thinking they knew what the word "Troll" means. OP was not a troll post. It's an opinion at best.
Just because someone shares an opinion you don't like does not mean they're trolling.
I dunno - if a post is prefaced with, "In my opinion this/that/the other is gonna happen because of this/that/the other." then that person can be cut some slack and not necessarily labeled as a troll. The way the content of this original post was created was in the spirit of, "This is factual and all comments here is the reason why this/that/the other is going to crash and burn in hell" which lends, in my opinion (see what I did there), the fast track to trolldom. Now, I could have allowed the guy a bit more room, which I did (and I am sure others did as well - evidenced by some posters asking for the OP to clarify his... initial comment) and found that the reasons he/she/it provided held up as well as water in a paper bag.
Also, the post was quite short. It reminds me of an unpinned paintball grenade being thrown amongst a crowd of people. It's small and unobtrusive - if those folks are not paying attention then it has done its job. It blows up and everyone gets lit up with neon pink/green paint.
So please, do not deign to lecture anyone of us about not knowing what a "troll" means. Thank you.![]()
Thank you. At least someone on here actually understands how things are taken out of context and overused to the point that it loses it's actual meaning. Like "hacking" your friends Facebook account >.> All you did was park your ass at his/her unoccupied and logged in account.
But yes, it's my opinion, a topic for others to ponder and discuss, nothing more.

Thats totally a legit response. i would have to agree with most of what you would like fixed. The only reason i asked that question is i've seen some people protest the MW just because they want an AH. Even when they suggest "fixes" for it they still say MW's will suck and should be replaced with an AH. basically they arent willing to give a new system a chance to work out its bugs. Yet they are some of the first to complain about "cookie cutters" lol.If I can buy / sell what I want quickly and hassle free then yes. and I mean 4 things with that statement really:-
1: If for example I want to buy a cobalt winglet+1 I can buy one without having to run through every ward because the item search results say there are 60 of them but list only the 20 lowest priced nq's or the same if I wanted to buy a pair of triple melded raptor skin gloves. where the item search results are full of unmelded or single melded items pushing the types of items I seek off the list entirely.
2: If the seek item feature worked in a sensible fashion then yes. for example I've looked for ash tuna and found it was 3 weeks since any was sold. It would be nice if my retainer could seek them and somehow fisherman could see that I want x amount and I'm willing to pay y for them. As it stands now if I want to seek 99 ash tuna then I have to already have 99 ash tuna and it also means that anyone with 50 ash tuna can't sell them to me unless they have 99.
3: If I wanted to sell something on my retainer it became hassle free to get a valuation. for example as soon as I click sell item and the box comes up to set my price it also bought up another box that listed the price history saving me a lot of hassle. rather than having to write down a list of everything i want to sell and spending 15-20 minutes scrolling through the item search writing down prices and then running back to my retainer to list them and then repeating in 2 or 3 days to get more recent prices etc etc.
4: If I want to buy multiple items i can do so in one transaction. for example if i want to buy 5 axes to go and spirit bond I could search once and click the 5 items i wanted to buy without having to start the whole process for each axe or item.
You just explained what's wrong with new MMOs. Players don't give some a chance to flourish simply because "It's not WoW" lol. The MW vs AH thing is retarded when both systems are basically the same. Like it was said, the MW has a feature that lets you seek repairs and item purchases so I'm still waiting for an AH system to buy items for me since they're so superior and all!
Trolling is not to be claimed by an accuser. Trolling is the act of the one who posts. You can ultimately call it whatever you like, but just blatantly accusing a post however discrete, formatted, imprecise or otherwise -- it's most often not a case of actual trolling.I dunno - if a post is prefaced with, "In my opinion this/that/the other is gonna happen because of this/that/the other." then that person can be cut some slack and not necessarily labeled as a troll. The way the content of this original post was created was in the spirit of, "This is factual and all comments here is the reason why this/that/the other is going to crash and burn in hell" which lends, in my opinion (see what I did there), the fast track to trolldom. The OP just posted what he thinks will be a probable contributor to issues post ARR release. Accusations of trolling are really really boring on forums lately. The OP has to WANT to troll. "Want" -- Thats a keyword.
Being stupid is not trolling. Posting something stupid is not trolling, being an ass is not trolling. Hating puppies is not trolling (With an exception of going to a puppy loving forum and doing so).
Trolling, at it's core is legitimately wanting to derail a discussion or topic -- or deliberately posting in a style designed to cause uproar for the amusement of the poster of said content. Another big key statement. People who are trolling are doing so for their own satisfaction. It's with rather deliberate malicious intent. It could be for laughs, or just because some feed off of internet tears. Either way, the OP is not a troll, and it's not trolling. Accusing someone of trolling when they are not just really spreads more misuse of the word.
