Suggestion: Allagan Empire Expansion for 2014?

Hello Dev Team,

I've been fascinated with the lore and mythos surrounding the Allagan Empire (from the 3rd and 4th Astral Era). Thus, I've been mulling over the idea that for a future expansion, perhaps we can travel back in time to explore this great chapter of Eorzean history?

One of the things that I believe will really be awesome is that you guys can really push the envelope on the (high-technology?) of that era as a future expansion; including the environments, graphics, storyline, missions, how they were destroyed by earth, what lead to their demise etc... especially since so much mystery seems to be tied to them.

I think this will also be a great opportunity to build on the future success of 2.0, extend the longevity of the game and brings in even more new players.

True enough. There's so many other locations that were in 1.0 that were never touched on that they may have lore already established for that they should explore first. Once the current landscapes are exhausted, then maybe an option to travel through time to the Allagan Empire might be an option.

Actually it's not. Yoshi-P said in some interview or another that it'd take another year to develop ARR if Ishgard were to be introduced at its launch.

A27: As far as Ala Mhigo and Ishgard goes, they won’t be available immediately at launch. All the areas will be revamped in ARR so you can consider all the areas “new.” You’ll see new settlements, monsters, and dungeons. Also, the dungeons will be three times the size that they are now. If we introduce Ishgard and make further changes to the current nations, it will take another year to launch the game… Furthermore, Ishgard and Ala Mhigo areas will be introduced in order. Stay tuned!

This is Developer Speak for, we're working on it but we do not want to give a Date right now because they are not close enough to complete.

It is more than likely, that Ishgard will be released in a Major Patch six month after launch.

Allah Mihgo might get pushed to an Expansion pack, just because it has the opportunity to open up the Garlean Empire.

It is highly unlikely that this game will see a Full on Expansion for upwards of Two Years after Re-Launch.
