    I like the idea of damaged gear. It's an incentive to not die as much and to player better as your class. However, I don't like gear being damaged normally from use. Death is fine, not use.

    But for the love of anything good-game-development, do NOT add exp loss. That's overboard. Very, very overboard.

    How does bringing back xp loss make people work harder? Sorry after delvling to 74 hundreds of times in FFXI and having to waste time re-lvling back up to 75, no it doesn't make people work harder, it provides a huge nuisance and annoyance.

    It makes people scared to die so they play better and pay more attention :3

    Fine no delevel at 50 then?

    No. It does not make people afraid to die. It makes people play in their underwear!

    No. I hate exp loss. If you die you are weakened for 5 min... so make it weakened for 30 min... no exp loss, then people won't want to die.

    Personally I find gear damage badly implemented. Gear is too weak. It should last longer. Ironskin is too brief ... it should be a better spell. Gear damage and Ironskin make for a major annoyance. But like someone said, I won't play a game that is too easy.

    Final Fantasy has always been a frustrating game, but it makes you proud of every achievement you get. That makes for a fun game.

    These are the things they need to take out of MMOs. People think that they add some degree of difficulty, but I'd much prefer the challenge to be in the battles or story content.

    Removing a nuisance isn't changing a game to 'easy mode' (see arrows) It just provides a more streamlined experience.

    I wan't to battle dragons, not archaic designs.

    Maybe with the new engine they'll get to the visual aspect that was supposed to come with it. if not then yeah its pretty dame useless.

    Wahoo I'll be runnin around town in rags all the time then. I might even start /beg in for gil.

    Then again some teenagers might start a sagger trend in game if their belts break completely.

    I don't understand, did they put in "Damaged Gear" instead of EXP loss? Why is everyone talking like we have to have one or the other? Can't they just take out both?
