Why all have to be the same? This would be ARR classes that weren't before for some reason so a background history while unlocking then would be nice. I'm not asking for super hard quest to unlock then maybe a running around or just talk to a NPC.
Sure, but wouldn't it be nice for the original classes to have unique backstory quests, too? Why should only the new classes get all the fun? This is what I mean by equality.
It's silly to arbitrarily segregate some classes with an extra requirement for access. There's no reason to divide them like this. Let all classes be unlocked with a unique quest/requirement, or none of them.
Your touching on a formula which already exist. Are you "ruffling up a birds feathers" while it's in flight?
To unlock a job, curtain classes need to be obtain to a minimum level, like the new Samurai job, I suppose we all need to level lancer and marauder to a level 15~30ish maybe. It's an old method of prerequisites needed for job.
In FFxi, it was based on job>>>level 30>>>unlock advance job(thru quest). Same thing will apply in FFXIV:ARR.

Why, why, why? Because the world is a cruel place and one who doesn't show effort to wanting something doesn't deserve to have it. I suppose a child raised with a silver spoon in his/her mouth wouldn't understand 'this' but as the old saying goes, "it takes a curtain special someone to do that curtain special job".

I've reiterated over and over that difficulty has nothing to do with any of the points in my argument. Why, why, why? Let me ask you though, what makes the newer classes so "special" that they deserve extra quests and extra steps just to have access to them? When it comes down to gameplay, none of them are any better or worse than the starting classes when all is said and done. If you want the new classes to be difficult to obtain, then shouldn't this also apply to the classes we have now? Why should the new ones be any different?
I agree with you ..it was annoying in FFXI how every new job added was made look harder to get and more story with it and a lot more details yet WAR the best DD was all BLAHHSure, but wouldn't it be nice for the original classes to have unique backstory quests, too? Why should only the new classes get all the fun? This is what I mean by equality.

Maybe not a mandatory thing to unlock the class itself, but background history of ALL classes should be extensively put by class quests (which should start at level 1 btw... NOT 20 -.-). If we got class quests every 3-5 levels we would know a whole lot more about our classes than just 3 quests every 10 levels...
