I've been waiting for a really competent FFXIV site since launch.
THAnK YOU!
I guess there might be more when ARR lands and pro is pretty good...
so this could be called the 2nd...
BUT THANK YOU! ^___^

Make it happen.
I already replied in your post on Pads, but as said, getting the individual bases for every single class and race is very difficult, not to mention even with the base stats, how do we know you went full int on BLM? How do we know you didnt do VIT on WHM? and so on. So there is no way to know the exact base value a character has.without the base stats counted in the stats sum this site is pretty useless...
take my case for example.
I'm working on getting my acc to 450 to fight Nael+. Reading I have +70 acc (random number) means nothing to me if I don't know how much that amounts to.
I'd also need to know where does food put me to know whether eating acc or atk would be better.
So equipping a dish would be needed too.
if they add that, it will be great though.
I will discuss with Nemi the possibility of allowing you to insert your own base stats, but it wouldnt be done automatically, its just way too variable to do.
You can however make a set that says you have 70+ Acc then make another set that shows 62+ Acc and now you know which is best, thus the number means something.
Gearsets is about the gear and the benefits that gear has, your set might only give X/Y/Z Stats, someone else may come up with one that provides X+12/Y+30/Z+15, then you have something to compare and tweak your ingame build towards.
EDIT: Adding food seems like a good idea.

I hadn't thought of base stats being variable.
Here are some suggestions to work around it:
- Having a box with a text input for base stats.
- All races have the same base stats. The difference in stats comes from what job you are, which is pretty limited. So set your job, and have a text input for how many points you added to them.

If I recall bard seems the default option for saved sets, so the result is you have a lot of misc saved sets listed as bard. If it isn't the default, then I don't know why but a lot of crafters and misc jobs are saving their setup as bard.
Awesome site, now give me a 3D rotating model that displays the gear I put in all the slots and you will have made the best FFXIV site ever.
We was thinking of this, might have to wait until 2.0 as i expect the model files will have a different format to them. Right now its very clunky.
It looks awesome.
did put all classes in there should be more clear now.
