    Huge list Hamlet Improvements

    Been talking with few of linkshell and some ideas were tossed around about improving hamlet. We also talked about the issues also. I have done hamlet 200 times and it gets boring as hell and I also know what im talking about.

    The Issues

    Today servers with low populations and people almost have all 9/9 seals and players don't have the time or the levels to craft or farm the provisioning are having problems obtaining there seals. Right now many areas are not being filled enough for rank2 and many of the server try's to put in the lowest for top 3. Ends up being mil and halve extra to summit.

    This leaves the problem of having people coming to help for no reward because seals are only obtained on npcs at rank1.

    The Ideas of improving Hamlet

    Can enter any rank you want as long as its unlocked and timer is ready.

    Example:

    Rank5: Locked (10mil pts/10mil pts)
    Rank4: Locked (8mil pts/8mil pts)
    Rank3: Locked (5mil pts/5mil pts)
    Rank2: Locked (3mil pts/3mil pts)
    Rank1: Unlocked (1mil pts/1mil pts)

    Also would like to add that the required score needed should decrease based around how many people have done that hamlet last 3 days in the same area.

    For every 10 people that do hamlet in same location in last 3 days the hamlet score should increase by 10% for every 10 players that enter in until it reachs it's rank cap.
    All it takes is 100 different people to do it for it to max. With this it should also keep low server populations being able to do hamlet also at any rank.

    Rank3 Requires 2 Partys
    Rank4 and Rank5 Require 3 Partys


    Nice thing about this option is when its higher rank the players can choose which hamlet level they want to do for achivements or rewards. This also gives Square Enix more freedom to change hamlet up as much as they want beyond rank2 without effecting the players that only want lower ranks.

    Seals drop from Rank2-Rank4 only
    Hamlet takes about 3mil toget to rank2 and ton more for future rank ups. To bring extra points the server should pitch without having to do grind.

    Enemy strongholds: lv45+ 50 beastmen kills (Beastmen type) of that area lowers the score by 10000pts.

    Within 3 days this would be in between in score decrease from hamlet:
    Ixian:400000~600000pts
    Zala:150000~300000pts
    Kol:300000~600000pts


    Chocobo Caravan-
    Everytime you summit supplys to hamlet you decrease its score. The score decreases based on how many seals you earned within that run. 1000seals=10000pts decrease.
    This is also based around the lv30 Caravan but still rewards same decrease for lower seals.

    0-288 caravans in 3days
    0~2880000pts decreased

    Summiting items in for seals at your Grand Company

    Each item has a score in which is based around how hard it is to obtain. Once you trade in a number of items and reach a high enough score the NPC will reward you with /ex item to summit in hamlet. This item gives you 100k Score.

    Toget this would have to trade:
    1000 reg items
    5 lv50 raid items
    25 lv30 raid items
    10 NM items
    2 Ifrit weapons
    2 moogle weapons
    2 garuda weapons
    10 totems of any kind

    Stronghold NMs

    Killing 1 HNM counts as 60000pts decrease towards that hamlet.
    Key NMs Decrease it by 1000pts

    Letting DoH to summit HQ versions of buff ups. Letting DoL summiting pots that are +1. This would decrease or improve enemies, npcs by 7%. Letting DoL use movement speed abilities until they have hate.

    Having numbers on the Pots on the Map would be helpful for players that are colour blind. (I have met one that was DoL and he had trouble) I know this is a 1% chance but it felt stupid having him in there.

    Extra beastmen will be added in and they will be linked towards random hamlets. Killing them decreases that hamlet's score. Goblin's Sagglin, Imps, and whatever else.

    Top 20 Menu

    There's alot of undercutting and would like to see that gone. Heres what I like to see happen.

    1st Place Score:?????????? Someone Else
    2nd Place Score: 1700000 You
    3rd Place Score: ???????? Someone else
    4th Place Score: ???????? Someone else
    5th Place Score: ???????? Someone else
    6th Place Score: 20000 Someone Else
    Keeps going till 20th

    What this means is everyone's score above 6th place is displayed ???????? and you can only see everyone's score below 5th place. After timer is up and everyone summits
    everyone score shows up.

    Show what Rank hamlet is in the timer selection in Attributes Menu. Alot of people have to run to hamlet to check it.

    I always thought a larger pool of buff and debuffs would be nice as well as the gatherers having something less tedious than running to and from pots loking like jackwagons.

    All I want them to do to Hamlet is make it so the final score you get translates into tokens that you buy gear and seals with.

    I'm not asking for a miracle here!

    Make Hamlet levels 3+ require an alliance or something. Fuck man it's just incredibly monotonous at this point and isn't fun.

    Make it into a tower defense game, hell, do something to make players feel less of a repetition.

    Since its a hamlet related topic, has anyone done the hamlet achievement "achieve victory with battle class/non battle class" only?

    Hamlet is a lot easier with a Monk tank, 2 Dragoons, 1 White Mage, 2xDOL and 2xDOH and it's a lot more fun.
