    I'm also not a big fan of this aggro icon but the function isn't what I bugs me the most, it's how it's presented. So here's what I thought:

    Either this
    or this

    I certainly don't want to see a big icon on every aggroing mob I see.

    I'm surprised they didn't do it like that in the first place. So it's not right in your face, but you can check it by targeting. I would prefer that.
