    Pretty much what ppl forget is, ffxiv was told and announced that it was going to be less time consuming then ffxi. I used to play ffxi 2 hrs a day and sometimes that time is wasted due to aggro death and no one can help. Mostly due that i didn't see it or know it attacked. Like sand bats in valkrum dunes. Most bats before them didn't aggro. FFxi never kept the same rules on mobs. Some aggro'ed some didn't. And not every mob was an obviouse "aggro" mob. Or able to see. aka chigo(fleas) in caedvar mire. Those waste time so bad.

    honestly how can you learn to avoid a mob if you don't see it.?

    Why would having a differing opinion be mean? My opinion still stands. I like having to learn and be watchful.

    While I do agree that MMO companies do nothing but ruin a game by listening too much to the *****ing and moaning of little kids, they still have to listen to their customers.

    People need to have fun with a game if they are going to continue playing it. And one of the ways they ensure it's fun is by finding out what people want. Not everyone agrees on "what they want" however, and therein lies the problem.

    MMO companies have to draw a line to how much they will cave in to moronic whining. And where they draw that line is really the determination factor as to whether or not your game does well.

(best low lvl solo weapon for whm) No one was able to buy one and send one to me. I ran all the way to south gustemburg as a lvl 5 whm only to die steps away from bastok. And no one was free to raise. THAT shouldn't be hard. And the only stuff meant to be "hard" is the actuall content not the travel.
    You do not have to. You start the game with a weapon. SE provides everyone with a weapon when they start the game. They're just cool like that. If you choose to go on a crazy journey to get a level 5 weapon.. well.. good for you I suppose. o.o;

    Traveling hour(s) for equipment is the only way to give people a sense of accomplishment when they get that peice of gear that they've struggled for. Also, I dont avoid every mob when hoofing it, If I don't know that a bomb aggro's then I might run past it within aggro range. That is what rokien is refering to, the element of not knowing your world and adventuring through it to figure out those things on your own. It lets you grow with the game. I also like having my opinion considered, but it shouldn't be a grain of sand tipping the scale. But then again, SE is the one who put themselves in that kind of situation, I'm not talking about the release but the recent "catering" that rokien refers to. My feelings are a bit mixed, I guess I'm more worried about the future of the game as appose to the immediate fixes. My hope is that everything SE implements will still be unique and thier own variation of it.

    having to solo whm to 20 isn't really THAT EASY with the newbie set. I kept diying cuz I couldn't kill mobs so I wanted to upgrade my weapons. If the AH was actually stocked I wouldn't have needed to travel. If you felt you didn't need to update your gear. You either got PL or just killed ep alot.

    No need to insult for saying an example of a bad time consuming aspect.

    All and all games are meant to be fun not kick you in the teeth every 20 secs. That scares ppl away and why ffxi was huge.

    I said my stuff about what SE said so they maybe you shouldn't complain if something is less time consuming. Since it was known ahead of time that was the direction the game was going in.

    I know how thing aggro in ffxi. So i learned everything already (in a sence to travel) I shouldn't be "c*ck-blocked" from not seeing the aggro mob. Which was the case I didn't see it.

    Honestly their are not doing anything that wasn't annouced pre launch. They said in advance ffxiv was gonna be less time consuming. They are just fulling that promise.

    If you wasn't selfish, you would understand not everyone plays is on the same "gaming level" some ppl are not expert gamers. Devs need to cater to a wide range of gaming levels or else scare away ppl. I am not the most epic gamer. But I do enjoy games. (not saying I want easy mode) But why should I have to get punched in the taco just because you want articial time sinks.

    The game isn't telling you how stuff aggros. It just showing you its there. If you see it you can avoid it. But not seeing things it would waste alot of ppl time. Like having to run from sandy to qufim for a party. How often did ppl rep those who ended up dieing to much wasting parties time
