I liked people learning to be careful - watch their backs, (That was kinda out the window once power leveling got bit though.. -.-) The aggro icon kinda made me think, "Whoa, I'm not 5 years old here.. that thing is huge with sharp teeth, it only makes sense to stay away from it!" It instantly took some sense of adventure out of the game for me. I'm very happy that they're deciding to let us toggle it on and off as we please.
    not to be mean, but that was also time consuming. Nothing is good if you spend an hour traveling to get 1 peice of gear, not see an aggro mob and die. Forcing you to do that ALL over again. And still what ppl forget. All it is, is a visual. What the real learning was how to avoid it.

    >.> you don't get what I mean. go play ffxi right now and start in windy as a whm. You gotta travel ALL the way to bastok to BUY a hammer. (best low lvl solo weapon for whm) No one was able to buy one and send one to me. I ran all the way to south gustemburg as a lvl 5 whm only to die steps away from bastok. And no one was free to raise. THAT shouldn't be hard. And the only stuff meant to be "hard" is the actuall content not the travel.

    You do not have to. You start the game with a weapon. SE provides everyone with a weapon when they start the game. They're just cool like that. If you choose to go on a crazy journey to get a level 5 weapon.. well.. good for you I suppose. o.o;

    i can get from level 1 to any city in FFXI i don't get your point? it's easy onces you learn what attack you then you get there without problems.

    that the fun of it getting somewhere and dieing 10times then when you get there you like holy shit this was fun. That what made me stay in FFXI and not play any games for 6years too i switch over to ffxiv. Now ffxi is easy mode so i'm happy i left before rise in cap.

    here is the issue. I know. I know what aggros and how. I did not SEE the mob is the point. And also take into consideration about how much time got wasted dying 10 times is. And the put it up wuth a 2 hr limit of play.

    Not fun. Honestly You guys should take time to consider other players not just yourselves. ffxi scared alot of ppl away with how time consuming that game was. In order for me to even play I had to spend over 300 just for a new ps2 router and wireless adptor. A person shouldn't feel the need to spend that much money to play a game for more then 2 hrs.

    Oh am putting into consider to the other players but it seem the others who lack time. Are not putting in consider to the players who want something hard. In ffxi there homepoint you can set that cut down the time by half I don't mind whatever they add as long as they consider the others who do want the game to have some fun hard stuff to do. I don't know why we could not meet in the meddle in most of the stuff we want.

    What you mean wireless adptor if i remember right you had to plug in your cable too the back on your ps2. It cost 100$ for the box and 50$ for the network that was plug in the back of your ps2 with the HDD.

    Yup, this.

    The casuals scream and whine when hardcores suggest something, and claim that they aren't being considered, but they don't consider the hardcores needs in return. It's very hypocritical. (some hardcores are guilty of the same, but in much lesser numbers generally)

    This is why some of us try to suggest middle ground options and compromises. And generally the hardcores are ok with compromises, but the casuals will scream their heads off and aren't even willing to give it a thought.
