Targeting query

I'm hoping this is a stupid oversight on my part because that'll mean it's an easy fix... is there some kind of "Attack party/leaders target" macro ability?

I've never had much of a problem as a WHM because I'm usually just concentrating on keeping party members alive, but now I've started levelling BRD I'm finding I'm wasting a lot of time trying to target the right mob when I'm switching from healing/buffing to attacking.

If there isn't any kind of macro/hotkey I'm missing does anyone have any advice on how to best handle this, I'd like to get better

Although I play on a controller, I am sure it works similar to keyboard, I usually have it solely on enemy targeting where left and rot on d pad is enemy target. Up and down is party target. If this isn't how it works on keyboard, I apologise.

I target with my mouse. Best way to hit what you want. Otherwise, when the target is blocked, and I have lots of time, I use the left direction pad on my XBOX controller to toggle through targets. The auto-target system is seriously flawed. If you face the target with it set on auto-target enemies only, it usally targets with a "A" click. I have it set so all I have to do is target and fire, no secondary confirmation.
