PS3 + Vita + FFXIV

As far as I know Sony been saying anything Wii-U can do PS3/Vita can. Kind of why I could see Sony helping SE in making something for FFXIV to use both with. Would be a huge selling point to ppl playing FFXIV on ps3 to buy a vita as well so Sony wins in end and FFXIV is better with it ;x

One advantage PS Vita has is that it is mobile, so you can send messages, and plan events with free company or with LS while away from home. The second advantage is that it could be used as a mini touch screen pad or mini map, or as a controller.

It even has built in mic so you can voice chat, but I don't see SE allowing voice chat features anyways.

Oh wow never thought of that free company uses. Also Mic useage woudl be cool but I beleave it was said allready it was hard to brign voice chat into PS3 FFXIV, Vita might be able to do that.

You technically wouldn't need an app for that. Since PC can use vent/ts/etc, you can think of the VITA's party app as your chat app. It could help that way. Personally, I would love to see some function of ffxiv on the VITA.

Rather stick with the phone apps, better and simpler dev options, it doesn't need to be hardware intensive (as I said in a previous thread) a very basic html page that needs decent refresh rate.

PS3 Vita is a console, not a phone. Big difference.

you answered half of my question.


the difference is in its value. the vita is a hand held gaming device with cross play and skype features. both are mobile but vita has more value for what it is worth for a gaming machine first. no reason for it to be excluded.

Tonkra does have a point, the Vita damn near bombed even in Japan (Mobile capital) so Sony is trying it's hardest to push them without giving them away lol.

I'd rather WIi-U than Vita honestly.

biggest problem with the vita its too damn small, i rather play on the big wii-u controller for stuff like that.
my character is a female but im a 6 foot man so my hands are alittle bigger than a 5 year old. im pretty sure most people play there mmo's at home anyways.
