PS3 + Vita + FFXIV

So I believe Yoshi has talked about apps coming out for cell phone. Such as Market look up, and Token app for logging in. With that in mind I wonder if Yoshi has thought about making the PS3 and Vita work together while you play FFXIV. Could use the Vita for mini map/ UI stuff. Also say your out in the field doing stuff, and you want to update retainers or buy some stuff, and have it sent to the new delivery npc for you to pick up. Don’t think SE could but since PC is getting UI plug ins, could find a way for players to make UI plug-ins for PS3 to be used on vita’s screen that could easily be loaded to vita. Not sure if Sony would let that though If nothing else I feel cross play with PS3 <-> Vita could be useful for FFXIV. I know there is no way for something like this to be in place for ARR but maybe down the line it could be something for Yoshi and other Devs to look into. Discuss your thoughts about this.

and why? PS3 -> less hardware power -> no full hd

Wii U Controller -> exactly the same number of buttons like PS3 controller -> much bigger touchscreen for chatting, drag and drop etc..

As far as I know Sony been saying anything Wii-U can do PS3/Vita can. Kind of why I could see Sony helping SE in making something for FFXIV to use both with. Would be a huge selling point to ppl playing FFXIV on ps3 to buy a vita as well so Sony wins in end and FFXIV is better with it ;x

ah come on, sure they are saying.. and on the other hand its just not true. the psvita on the opposite is much smaller and costs around 200-300 bucks. the Wii U controller supports streaming, a bigger display... and the wii u recognize on which part of the screen you are holding the tablet controller in front of it. that part is visualized on the tablet then (to aim through the display)

and sony also said " our "Move-controllers" are much better than from the Wii".. and what was it? the biggest flop in history. like the psvita itself.

The point is that the gamepad itself is a device for indoors. There might be some basic functions you could do with it on the road (clock; mini games like tetris or sudoku which the gamepad can render by itself; notepad), but it's not a fully equiped tablet pc, so there is no internet or phone access without the console and the Wii U games are streamed onto it via bluetooth from the console itself, so once you are out of reach you can't play them.

Also to it's gameplay mechanics it's meant to be a hub for your living room, as you can use it as a remote control for your tv via the infrared sensor.

I have no doubt the wii u gamepad can be used for ffxiv in your home, but I see more value on the ps vita side while in your home and on the road, same applies with other mobile devices.

Well the game Isn’t be made for the Wii-u atm so yeah, but even so say it would come to Wii-U this idea would be nice + could use same stuff for PS3 + vita. Also idk how much the wii-u pads will be able to handle since it isn’t out yet. but I’m sure vita could do more then wii-u pads.

Well Vita can link with the PS3 and you could play PS3 games on it. Well not yet, some hackers found out a way but sony trying to stop it.
