    FFXIV = Loud Power Supply?

    Weird question... anyone else have their PSU's get fairly loud during FFXIV game play? Was loud with my old PSU/GPU combo; recently I changed both (new PSU being a very nice PC Power and Cooling Silencer III 600w; should be quiet...)

    Seems FFXIV always maxes out fan RPM-wise no matter what PSU.

    The MKIII is known to be loud under full load, but without us knowing the rest of your system, and whether you are running stock or overclocked, there really is no way for us to tell if it should do so or not.

    My NVIDIA Geforce GTX580 fan runs really loud. System fan can't be heard over the GTX fan. No increase in noise with FFXIV... just loud all the time...lol

    The game is very demanding. More so of the video card than the CPU. I\\'m running a 6 core AMD CPU and a GTX-560ti video card. Normally my system is so quiet it can\\'t be heard over the speakers, but when playing FFXIV, the video card fan is obnoxiously loud. Running a performance monitor trace I\\'ve seen about 50% CPU load and 100% video load during gameplay.
