    [dev1022] The Auto-Attack Solution

    My advice is to make the auto-attack a mappable function for any 0-cost skill of the class. For example, Lancer has Light Thrust, Heavy Thrust, Pierce and Full Thrust that do not cost any Action Points to map to your hotbar.

    Why not make those abilities "auto-attack capable" with a toggle feature? Add a switch in the Configuration menu that lets you select "Set Hotbar Slot 1 as Auto-Attack Toggle", that allows players who want to have Auto-Attack, to turn it on; those who would not want auto-attack, would turn that off.

    That way, if you wanted to use Full Thrust as an auto-attack, all you'd have to do is map it to the auto-attack slot in your hotkey bar when the feature is enabled. This is a very simple solution to a complex and controversial problem. It will satisfy both the pro-autoattack and the anti-autoattack camps.

    Yoshi-P, please consider this option as an effective solution to the auto-attack question.

    I realize there are issues with stamina if that were left untouched regarding auto-attack on different 0-cost attack skills, but if the auto-attack feature is properly programmed to execute each attack after the stamina recharges the amount it used in its previous cycle...it would become manageable.

    They are changing the battle system. It's possible we may not even have a stamina gauge. They can't just add an on/off option for everything people disagree with being changed either.

    I also don't understand why so many people would rather hit the same normal attack button repeatedly instead of actually using abilities/TP moves/Spells more often than they are now.

    It's called adapting to what we were given. I'm accustomed to it, but I do not like the way the Stamina Gauge works. That's my only gripe with the combat, really. My other gripe is the Fatigue system, but that's incomplete. :P

    If they go so far as to ditch the stamina gauge, I will straight tell SE they have no backbone to stand up to the attacks on originality...

    If they implement AA, the OP' way would be good. Tho some attacks light Heavy Slash use 1/3 of your stamina bar, and would hurt unless it was a really slow attack rate (Not that i didnt use it really slowly already.....)
