Riiight... In game...Lol, right! In-game ofc..
One really big reason I say no to this also, I see majority of people that want to change being in adders and maelstrom now. Like we really need more people constantly flooding ul dah and leaving the other city state regions feeling even more deserted then they do now.

I am maelstrom now and I will be one in 2.0! Long live the Maelstrom, all traitors well walk me plank!Lol, right! In-game ofc..

I imagine we will be able to choose our Nation/GC again.. as it wouldn't make sense if we couldn't?

Yeah at first they said everything, then recently said "nop sorry can't change starting nation!" ._. I wish I knew that BACK when they said we could change EVERYTHING...I would have gladly remade my character. Thanks SE! As usual!
Oh well. At least I'll have one character with everything leveled :/
THere has been no word about this, but you can just create multiple characters to experience the main storyline for what little period of time it differs by citystate. Everybody will be able to create multiple characters, at least one per server (8 per server for legacy members), at 2.0 launch.
I dunno why people care about this so much. They could be taking a totally different storyline approach I suppose, but the way it is now, only the first handful of quests are nation specific, and they're basically tutorials.

2.0 going to have a new storyline for city so it could change to only being inside your own city like ffxi.THere has been no word about this, but you can just create multiple characters to experience the main storyline for what little period of time it differs by citystate. Just to clarify, it's 1 per server for the 12.99 "entry-level" sub, 8 per server for the 14.99 "normal rate" sub. The extra characters per server isn't a legacy perk, just that we pay less than either of those options for the 14.99 deal.THere has been no word about this, but you can just create multiple characters to experience the main storyline for what little period of time it differs by citystate. Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer

I was under the impression that legacy rate was 9.99.

Everyone gets at least 1 character per server. If you're just triyng to experience the storyline, it doesn't matter which server you're on. Make three characters and play each nation's quests. Once you've done that, go back to playing your main. Either that or go look at the cutscenes on youtube, as none of the quests are anything special.
