    When AA is implemented then additionally we need to....

    When AA is implemented then additionally we need to remove the auto face the enemy feature.

    Having AA is great in many differenct aspects but having AA with the cimbined feature of automatically facing your enemies can be a huge problem for those who do not want to be forced into waking a slept or bound mob. Considering AA is going to be "fast paced" then when rangers cast a shadowbind then it will be immediately broken before we can turn our character around (if they remove that feature)

    Mages should be able to cast spells while facing any direction as long as the enemy is within range.

    I know that SE has thought about this too and will hopefully rid this feature to implement anew but I just want to make sure this issue would be addressed along with the new change.

    Yes, very much agreed.

    I brought this up in the AA thread. We are already losing significant control in battle with the addition of AA, so they have to make this change for crowd control to even be viable. It's annoying that I'm going to have to play the "look away from the mob I want to kill" game again though. That always annoyed the piss out of me. I'm fighting this mob, but because I don't want to screw up the casters, I have to expose my back to the monster and look away to stop attacking.

    i woudl actually love to get rid of that feature anyway, autoattack or not. its so annoying, i know i can press c after , but still, annoys me.ok what really annoysme that it come back after retart even after i switch it off in confing/

    They could always make it so you don't turn for auto-attacks, only for special skills and spells.

    The easiest way to fix it would be to just give us a way to turn AA off.

    they already stated that they will make it so you are still involved. You not gonna win a fight with just auto attack.

    @ spuffin Ya I said something like that in the AA announcement thread.
    Idc pc side but it was pretty easy to do the turn around thing. But you also had the option to turn off auto target. (well in ffxi) You will prob have auto facing as that kinda the point of auto attack. Don't you auto face an enemiy with manual attack?

    But I can see the annoyence and dealt with it in ffxi. Changing the system to AA is really gonna change the face of the game. UI may be different after. The into CS may be different. Since the first fight was a battle tutorial. Would we need it after AA is out? And how is that gonna change the story? How does AA effect casters? How does AA effect archers?

    I hope they think about these.

    Guys this is not another suggestive thread on how we should implement auto attack! It's already said and done. Auto attack will be implemented and we need SE to adress the possible hazards that follow with it. If this thread is possibly noticed by them then they might say "Oh shit.... forgot about that..."

    Ahem. Most games that have Auto Attack also have an engage/disengage toggle. There's no need to remove autofacing.

    you seem to think that facing away is in any way faster and more efficent than pressing a single button.
