I can stun him just fine with Wrist Flick.
People complain about those that show up on DoH/DoL, but they do help (if they choose to).

So true, can never seem to get into a party to finish this... i'm just thinking of abandoning it so I don't have to constantly see it in my journal...pfft

People had over a week to do it, anyone who needs it for completion should already have it and really there's no other reason to do it now. Not to mention during that time it was practically a free kill with little effort.
Also god forbid they should make party content in an MMO. This game has been rather good about "restrictive content" honestly. The higher you go up there's a few things here and there that require small groups but not a ton. Then you hit 50 and end-game where things rightfully require groups.
This event reminds me of RIFT. Tons of random people mashing buttons on 1 super hueg mob, some people die, run back, keep doing it until it dies while 75% of the people participating lag to death and can't do anything/die to aoes/ground effects/adds. (before hotfixes)
Only difference most of the time you can't see the adds and die to invisible aoes due to model-on-screen limits.

I've never seen a party of 8 take on Atomos. Maybe you should try a different camp or even a different time of day.
Even the first hour after the maintenance, there was still a mob at Camp Bluefog (on Durandal). It's true there weren't as many people as the night before, but still more than enough. We did have trouble at Glory, though. Atomos kept spamming aoe's and killing people as they teleported in. But that only happened on the first hour.
Atomos still goes down very quickly (enough time to hit two camps each run). It just takes 30-60 seconds instead of 10 seconds, and it actually feels like a fight against a monster and not just a fight against lag.
Also, the wait to teleport out only takes about 5 seconds now instead of 2-3 minutes. So what SE has actually done is fix the lag problem. Good job! =D
The command /sigh does not exist.
I'm so glad someone mentioned the above point. This event when it began was so boring and the reward far outpaced the risks. It is way more challenging and fun with less people. Yes the rewards are still high if you can beat him! Now that the whole server is not porting bluefog>glory>everlakes ,we actually have to form parties, watch emnity and play the game.It just takes 30-60 seconds instead of 10 seconds, and it actually feels like a fight against a monster and not just a fight against lag.

Of course I loved all the free seals but this makes more sense and has an actual danger element.
Although I took no part after completing the initial quest... I just have to ask... Where were some of you before the hotfix?..

Good to see SE is still making nearly everything in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game cater to cliques of the same 8 "experienced" group of people vs the random PUG groups. When logging into a MMO the whole purpose is so I can actually accomplish something difficult and challenging with DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Yes I mad.
I am not asking content be super easy. They did it once with FFXI, why can't they do it again with XIV? In XI I was able to group with randoms and do very hard (at the time) content. Really do not like the direction this game is taking.

So because it was available for a week for everyone, even level 1's to do, it's the devs fault people didn't take this time to pop in and get the quest done? This is "impossible" to you? You had to find 7 other "experienced" people to do Atomos for that week and not just waltz in as a level 1 and collect your prize? Oh, I must've been imagining things.Good to see SE is still making nearly everything in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game cater to cliques of the same 8 "experienced" group of people vs the random PUG groups.
