I don't mind cooking requiring a lot of mats.

But the food needs to be worth it and usable in PVP.

Whilst food in PVP will only make certain foods good, it's still important that they do it.

Make several good foods for each job depending on the situation.

I'd agree with this if Stuffed Cabbage didn't exist. That is one of the worst crafts ever.

I don't really mind it either but other things are out of whack which make it more difficult to craft certain recipes. Something like Crowned Cake is fine, you can get the materials at a reasonable rate, but for something like Lava Toad legs the Lava Toad shares a fishing sweet spot and remainder bar with another fish and you get like 10:1 or worse between the fish you don't want and the Lava Toad. Additionally the Lava Toad is supposed to favor Syrphid Basket bait but that doesn't even work right either, I fished at the spot with 99 baskets and about 300 rat tails and the catch rate was the same

More mats for food is fine but the more complicated dishes should have better effects.
