This is a silly mindset to take, seeing as any of the crafts in XIV would require more work than is shown.

I don't play XIV for the incredible realistic gameplay.

Sure i have. grab bag of potato's add water nuke on high for 3-4 minutes, open can of corn place on right stove burner, thaw chicken add Season-all throw in oven at 350 for 1 hour. see and i didnt even need to slaughter innocent woodland creature for my ingredients.

I hope that while they are at that, they are making more food recipes, and are making foods that belong to the same catagory (eg Egg Dish) do different effects instead of the same effect that will ensure no eats that particular dish (eg all egg dishes do is give extra hp ). I want more reasons to cook egg dishes and seafood dishes etc.

I offer suggestion of flavors and spices to dishes. like Spicy Deviled Eggs will do something different than just Deviled Eggs, something like that. A lot of armor has the "Of This Stat" so i think food should have it too in some way.

that's cool. However, recipes should be down-tuned in th amount of mats required. And more of that, most of its mats are from npc

Sweet! I really want food to have a pretty profound effect. XI did it well.
