There is a small difference to the two. One is curable the other isn't. I think stuns max duration is far too long though.

I don't care how many tiers of petrification there is, it's so annoying that mobs constantly use it and I don't notice it on me(unless I pay close attention to the stats bar).Addition of gradual petrification.
Yes that version of petrification seen many times in the ff series, two kinds of petrification, gradual and instant two tiers in a way. Gradual would give you a timer and reduce your stats/slow your attack rate as the timer got closer and closer to 0 at which point you would become completely petrified. This gives players a chance to pre-empt the effect with a gold needle.
Visually I want to see it applied(whether is client-side or server-side) I doesn't matter if it's a mild change in color, show me that I'm stoned, that way me or someone else can use this:

Yup thats exactly what i think as well and is why its up there as a option to like/+1. Petrify in any ff game that wasnt an online one as far as i can remember have always been a character turning to stone infront of your eyes and it is very much more user friendly when you can see a status as debilitating as petrify.I don't care how many tiers of petrification there is, it's so annoying that mobs constantly use it and I don't notice it on me(unless I pay close attention to the stats bar).

I definitely want the visual cue for when someone gets petrified.

This is how I feel when I read posts on these boards:

@Nakiamiie
Zombie should be like FFV/FFVI version (include charm-like effect)
- Zombie - Victim becomes Undead, taking damage from healing spells/items. Revivification magic and items KO afflicted units. (the player no longer controls his character which will automatically walk up to and auto-attack the nearest party member/ally -- Player can be attacked/healed by anyone in this state -- see Lamia Charm effect from FFXI)

I guess so. I just wanted to run around as a zombie, that's why I didn't remove player's control over the character in my suggestion. xD@Nakiamiie

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)

Bump, I wouldnt mind some status ailments with negative and positive effects like Float for example.
