I said earlier today when I got home, I would make a Thread to show the people having a hard time sinking this one in, on how the TGS Trailer that was showed Yesterday is either Low Settings, or used Old Assets from pervious builds ( non-Alpha).
Let's Dive into it Shall we:
Exhibit A~ TGS 2012 Trailer Screens
From all these Screens ( All in HD 1080p) You can see characters faces kinda pixelated, Grass ( lol you know I had to talk about the dreaded grass :P) isn't as green as 1.0 ( first screens we had of La Noseca for 2.0). Water Effects doesn't look to be Fluent, and some of the colors seems to be washed out.
Now for Exhibit B~ Everything else before TGS 2012 Trailer:
If you compare these photos to the one above, you will notice that these are more of a Vibrant type of feel to them, The Faces of the Characters look more smoother like they actually shaved lol hehe, The Big Television Screen Picture, Looks more clear Shadows looks more in-depth then 1.0. Weapon skills effects look pretty, etc.
Cartoony? Hardly, not even close, Maybe perhaps the TGS 2012 one it could look cartoony, but they already confirmed that those were old assets they were using to make that Trailer.
Keep your main Focus on everything before the TGS Trailer and you be golden. Yoshi-P even said, it will look sorta like it is now on 1.0 on low end rigs, but on the higher tier rigs, you will have a Major increase in graphics, the better your computers is.
Graphics (personally) are the least of my worries. What I'm worried about is this:
- How the Quest system is going to work?
- Leveling Speed in which it will take from 1-50.
- The Amount of Content at Launch.
- How Well the Servers/UI will Respond?
- Last but not least the Gameplay Mechanics ( Final Version, SE changed the battle system 1 time in 1.0 Alpha/Beta)
- Assets Placement ( This is a form of Graphics but it has nothing to do with how it looks, but how its placed throughout the map. This is more important to me than Graphics in itself.)
Those 6 are the most important for me in this MMO. If they can do these 6 flawlessly, then I be a happy camper.
( Note: the comparison is how I feel about the difference between TGS 2012 Trailer VS Everything else before, and it includes nothing but my very own suggestions, no one else)
Graphics is just a Bonus, Asset Placement is what I want more than Graphics, if you were to ask me a Question about Graphics, Asset Placement would be my answer.
