although i don't envy the stress that the 2.0 team must be under, the deadline they appear to be under seems forcedI would rather release no trailer at all than a trailer with actual lag in it! I don't think i've ever seen such a thing before. There had better be a gooood reason for doing this, and even if Yoshi releases an explanation, folks who do not follow the game like that still will not know and just think square is releasing crap and still have a bad taste in their mouth for the game.

I am not worried about the game lag wise because I seen actual game play and it is more then acceptable especially this far out. But releasing that trailer PS3 or not was a stupid move by SE I give it a 4/10 at the most due to the issues with it.
IF se wants to show off different setting levels they need to do them side by side or hq then LQ. Or PC and PS3. there is no wording on what this video is and almost no one makes Low Quality trailers. The average person on the internet will see this and be instantly turned off.
As others said this would be something you do not want to show to people, it makes the game look like the same garbage as 1.0s release with a new world.... the exact opposite they want to accomplish. Releasing a trailer that is anything but 100% polished will hurt the game in the long run.

Sure it's good that current players like XIV but trailers are meant to woo in new players. I don't think this trailer did anything but reinforce the stigma surrounding this product.

Well those of us that know better will just have to enlighten new players. I know we shouldn't have to but it is what it is ya know?

I think they were playing FFXIV on a weak PC for that video :P. Couldnt handle the new gridania area very well.

This isn't the first time I have seen a laggy trailer like this. Square released a FF 13-2 trailer that was really choppy to. It really isn't the game. It's not just Square though I have seen trailers for other games like it to, usually when there is a major games event, perhaps it was just rushed.

Didn't catch it the first time X)
Over all I enjoyed it. Yeah some of it was re-used, but I'm a sucker for the music X)
I still say that if they really wanted to show off jumping, even while on a Chocobo, there had to have been a better way to do it than to just randomly have them jumping for no apparent reason while running down a path... Unless all chocobos are uppity in nature now X_x Perhaps having them jump some obstacles, like a fence segment along the side of the road, or something...
EDIT: Heroes of Eorzea, the time is now! - Coming Soon.

"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer

On the bright side, disregarding the lag, it's a good measure for players who might have low-mid range specs.![]()

I hope the saturation is slider or something because I'm not particular a fan of the "deeper" color thing (someone made a comparison video, big difference was saturation). The natural flow of colors helps keep the eye seamlessly moving from object to object.

Thank god that's apparently old footage, because that pretty much looks like Team Fortress 2 lol
