It can be exhausting but no one is forcing you to read anything.

If you don't care to read a thread, don't. It is a forum and people are free to talk about any topic related to the game that they want. The person who starts a thread is clearly marked before you ever click on it so just avoid the ones you dislike.

Even if you happen to click on a thread that is a bit too much for you, you are free to stop reading and move on to a thread more to your liking.

Most of us have spent a lot of time playing this game and have questions and concerns about 2.0 and there is going to be a lot of speculation based on what little information we have.

This. And usually the reason is pretty simple: money. Fan sites forums cost 0 to moderate, since there are always an army of dedicated members willing to do the dirty moderation tasks. So if the general policy is good, the forum can be moderated properly.

On official forums, moderation means money. So Policies are often lenient in order not to moderate much. Only obvious insults, really bad links (adult content, piracy, virus etc.) or blatant off-topics threads gets moderated. Anything close to trolling is often too subtle to be moderated... At best threads gets closed.

If ARR gets popular and if activity dramatically increase on forums, this place will just be as bad as Diablo 3 forums. You can already tell that higher activity in here is the main cause of drop in quality.

DE/FR forums are fine thanks to their low activity. Trolls are easily noticeable and gets ignored quickly.

Funny thing is I almost made a thread with the same topic after I saw the comments about the new gameplay trailer. It does get tiring how much people complain here. oh well what can you do :/

but well^^ go gon complaining about colors of rings, stones, grass, designs, tails, the weather, or what the heck ever. seems the SE team lost of some sort of control of game developement. well the players seem at least to think that.

as i said its like telling an artist how he should paint his painting or how to write the story line. some feedback is ok. but not that what we see going on here..
