I would have loved to have FFXIV set in Ivalice, but the current world isnt' bad. In fact its like a happy medium between Ivalice and Vana'diel

On Auto-attack: Originally, I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but after learning that it will if it help facilitate other positive changes, I guess I'm all for it.

I still think a queue system would have been nice...

trust me ppl know that ffxi had slow auto attack system. I wonder how these changes are gonna effect the intro cs? Like the enviroment changes to the areas around Gridania. And now the auto attack system. Also will the UI be different? And how will br work now?

    I can't wait :3 one step closer to a ps3 release

Sounds like good things are getting closer. I like auto attack just the same as queuing attacks. Either way is fine by me. I just hope they really spice up skills, magic, and party play.

What? You mean I can't just cast 3 DoTs with my THM and succeed against most other classes by a freaking large margin??

    Damn.

I didn't want an auto-attack, but if they decided to implement it, I wanted it to be faster than XI's system and it looks like I'm getting what I wanted....well half wanted.

Honestly the fact that you have to press a key to make your character swing isn't exactly "innovative" or "interesting". It's just a minor detail, and doesn't increase the challenge or require any kind of focusing or thought.

Anriael it avctually makes difference. Difference in my involvement. actually pressing the hey matters. But it will loose you .12312% of damage per minute to manually press the key. And that will cause serious shrinkage is certain area. Sad news for most of people i know. Autoatack -> sadface

It's always a good idea to keep things personal. the "most people i know" argument never held much validity.
The fact that the attack key is always the same key pretty much makes the involvement zero. Now, I could have admitted the "manual" approach if there was a combo system like in AOC, but just adding a single key press in the middle of the actual tactics isn't really relevant.
