And to be honest, not sure we know the whole story on FFXIV. Was it his bad ideas, rushed, both? He could of left because he felt he was a scapegoat.

I am probably one of the few that thinks Tanaka was dealt the crappy hand with the whole FFXIV deal. He's definitely not innocent in the whole affair but I feel like he was primarily scapegoated for the mistakes of higher ups. I'm looking forward to what he does in the future and I'm glad he's not gone from the industry.

I'm with you on this one. He sure isnt innocent of the failings that occured, but he sure as heck wasn't alone in it either.

Just sayin, he's not the one solely to place blame on when he's done so much more right than wrong lol. The mere fact he realizes mobile gaming is more of the in-thing now kind of proves he's not exactly behind on the times.
