I counter with this:What I have, is a problem with your attitude.
You do realize that these BOTs are probably filling up the market wards, making it near impossible for players such as myself to place a retainer in Uldah.
You do realize that you are basically condoning "bad behavior".
You do realize that thanks to outsourcing, and other economic factors many people in NA and europe are suffering a poor quality of life.
I could go on. But I'll let you THINK about what I have posted first. Maybe, you'll THINK before you make your next comment.
While it might seem to many of you that we are not combating RMT related activity at camps like Cedarwood and other places, please rest assured that the operations and STF teams are proactively looking into this and performing thorough investigations. And to give you more insight of their investigations, we banned 700 accounts last week, but as you know they keep coming back.
In addition to ongoing STF efforts, we will be setting up countermeasures system wise as we head towards version 2.0. If you happen to notice any suspicious activity in your adventuring, please take a moment and help us out by making an STF report by goVing here: http://support.na.square-enix.com/co...hp?id=902&la=1
Right now there are no elementals near Cedarwood. It's as if they are avoiding the RMT now at the Node. The elementals are on the outside of the surrounding area, though. It's strange. I think the RMTs are luring them away from the Node...
I think they are, I even tried to help, but they kept ending up where the leve mobs spawn, so annoying i kept getting killed just their.. oh well..
Some were really chatty tonight though, talking about some island and dogs almost all the time over and over..
Oh well i love the new mobs SE has given us, I've been having loads of fun with them.
Even more then Atamos!![]()
Thank you.
It's is nice to read something positive once in a while.
BUT
I keep seeing BOTs everywhere I go, and I can never get my retainer into uldah. Can't SE do a bit more?
For example:
A number of players will put an item in their retainers bazaar, for 99,999,999 or some other large amount that no one will spend on the item in question. They do this, so that their retainer isn't kicked out of the MW. Now, I may be wrong, but to me that sounds like an exploit. If it is an exploit, can't they do a quick SQL search or something of the retainers, and just kick all the bad ones out of the MW?
Are the servers back up, maybe I can get my retainer in uldah now.
If I remember right, your retainers have a 168-hour lifespan in the wards that resets every time you interact with them. An item in bazaar isn't necessary.
All the 99M items are:
- glamor gear for retainers (coliseum set only exacerbated this problem)
- extra storage (items in bazaar don't count against inventory space)
- pride and showing off (5x melds usually)
I was shopping for a new weapon for my 19 conjurer earlier today. I saw a R17 cane for 1,000,000. IMHO, I think a certain group of people are exploiting the system. If I remember right, your retainers have a 168-hour lifespan in the wards that resets every time you interact with them. Oops almost forgot.
If people really want to show off theirr UBER items, find another method. These retainers with only 1 item up for sale may be preventing other players form hanving a retainer in the wards.
lol I don't need to put stuff up for that much, I've had a pair of Spiked Armguards on a retainer for *Four Months* at 100k (the price I bought them at) how do you think SE would be able to tell a good from a 'bad' retainer?... its gotten to the point where I don't care I'm to damn lazy to take em off and change selling price or npc em, so... yeah... I don't think my retainer is going anywhere until 2.0

OK, let me try to re-phrase it.
Uldah is kinda like a mall. People like to hang out there. Some people actually like to shop there.
Some people are unable to place a retainer in any of the Uldah market wards, due to the fact that all of the wards are filled to capacity.
One POSSIBLE reason all of these wards are filled to capacity, is because every BOT has 2 retainers, and those retainers are in Uldah selling at least 1 item for 999,999,999.
I'm pretty sure (I could be wrong), that there is no item in game worth 999,999,999 gil.
I vote we kick every retainer with an item costing 999,999,999 out of the wards.

I agree, this is my biggest pet peeve around the retainer system
