All I read in that article was sensationalism, written to sell online clicks.I sometimes think you fanbois are SEs worst enemy. here be some readin for ya

I'm surprised we got nothing new apart from the trailer at TGS. I'm sure Yoshida said there would be new info.
Ok, so what are we supposed to be reading? Hmm I see nothing that pertains to "fanboys", seems you're just extremely bored or something lol.I sometimes think you fanbois are SEs worst enemy. here be some readin for ya

Final Fantasy has made itself into a category for it's own,it's already a legend, always trying to reinvent itself. Square and Enix merged and became what it is today with plenty of games to back its credibility in game marketing. Blizzard with W.o.W. isn't even in the same league for crying out loud.if you push something in front of people for a long time yhey will most likely try it.
Wow was one of those things like it or not....
If they have no info for public then i guess there is not point in advertising
about word of mouth i readdy don't think ffxiv will get any positive
I don't believe S.E. had to advertise FFxi as much to get subscribers. I can't recall much of seeing any commercials promoting Final Fantasy XI but it still gets scrutinized because of the series. It's hard to put much of what many people like about FF from many different games into ONE MMORPG and satisfy EVERYONE. (as if this was a political race)
Remember WoW appeals mostly to westerners and FFXI/XIV is a eastern Japanese product. I can careless if they call Blizzard "Ultra Power of MMORPGs" because it bias garbage. All eyes on "Squenix's" new HIT, A Realm Reborn!

I saw the TGS trailer and was very sad. Hopefully the end game looks nothing like that. (I heard about the footage being older or whatever but that begs the question... why show it?) oh, well. Still excited for ARR.
Also, is that all the info that was given at TGS? No other info... just that trailer?

Make more armor like Drg AF.
So it would seem which is fine, because I know they have a lot of work to do.I saw the TGS trailer and was very sad. Hopefully the end game looks nothing like that. (I heard about the footage being older or whatever but that begs the question... why show it?) oh, well. Still excited for ARR.

I, for one, appreciate that Yoshida-san is willing to comment on things like this. Those of us that were in 1.0's BETA have trust issues, and we'll be the first to admit it. We gave mountains of feedback about how much more work was needed. Without any response, without any explanation, without any updates, we all assumed there was a "Golden Patch" coming along between closed and open beta... and then open beta and launch... and it just didn't happen.
There's a gentle balance between creating expectations and evaluating a product - and a lot of us (though, clearly not all of us, look around) have tried to manage that - but, you can't blame us for getting jittery when something looks not only less than expectations, but looks lesser than it reasonably should at this point, and there's no comment. We just don't want to be left behind again while our cries of "Wait, come back, this is broken." are met with "FULL STEAM AHEAD!", especially when a lot of us crying out are those who have already kept their expectations in check.
Thank you again, Team Yoshi-P (everyone on board) for making announcements like these. As long as I know that something that needs, not necessarily "a lot of work" but at least "a nice polishing," hasn't been given a Completed sticker, I'm happy to wait and watch. I can't imagine how familiar the name Yoshi-P is going to be in Final Fantasy history if he manages to pull off The Golden Patch 2 years later... he'd be like Square Enix's own personal Phoenix Down.

Also, what does that PDF have to do with anything? It just shows Square-Enix lost money in 2011, which is after the massive failure of Final Fantasy XIV's launch. Final Fantasy XIII still sold incredibly well whether you like it or not.
