TGS Trailer ahoy!

We're looking at a few months of testing starting in mid november (if even exactly as the servers go down) and we already know the first phase of testing is locked to Japanese region only. Unless you assume the testing starts the second servers goes down it may release in early 2013, otherwise it's pretty clear we're a long way from release at this point.

I'm curious how this leads you to a conclusion of 1-2 years before release. Unless, of course, you're merely being an idiot, which for you, as of late, is completely likely.

Even if they don't start the first series of Alpha tests until the beginning of Decemeber, roughly half a month after the game goes down (which I really can't fathom why they would do that.), that still leaves the game set to be released early 2013. Now track with me here....we're in the latter part of 2012...which means 2013 is still less than six months away. Even if they released the game in March of 2013, that's still six months and nowhere near your 1-2 year "prediction". I don't even see why it would take THAT long, considering the testing shouldn't take 6 months even with tweaks.

What the hell happened to you? Are you the new owner of this account or something? You used to have really strong opinions backed by facts and solid info. Whether it was positive or negative, you had thought and organization put into your arguments. Lately you've just been...stupid. You're acting like every other bandwagon hater who posts negativity just for the sake of it, rather than putting thought into what you post.

it's true, not only do they have a lot of work left with the graphics(if they are going to improve much) they are not even going to have all content done by release..... Seems like another rushed game

The fact remains, a lot of content isn't going to be released until AFTER 2.0 is. Why not push the game back longer(another year) that will give plenty of time for testing, revamping, and what not. Let alone it will give them time to include, ya know, SUMMONER! Also other classes/jobs. If we do have concerns with the beta/alpha it will also give them time to work those issues out as well.

Point is, it's being rushed out again with an unfinished game. If it wasn't going to come out for another year, I wouldn't have said anything about the graphics. The fact that they want the game released by the end of this year/early next year, worries me.

You say "The fact remains", so how about you present some of those facts? Links and sources would be nice, because right now, the only things currently not making it at release are...what... Summoner and Ishgard?

We've waited since May when they cancelled the E3 presentation for this flood of information that never came. We have two CGI trailers, a visual-only trailer that doesn't explain anything about limit breaks and a TGS trailer marred by bad coding full of recycled footage and "new" footage from an older build.

These past few months have increasingly shown that they need more time, and there's nothing wrong with that. They should take as long as they need.

There is another announcement in a article... looking for the original source but people on JP side is saying once the server closes on 11/11 and YoshiP gives the next live producer letter then ALPHA will start, and they are all saying they thought alpha was supposed to run while current version is going and beta was when FFXIV servers close.

Never know could be another one of those "errors" like when they said it was PS3 but they changed it to PC XD.

PS3 was speculation on the media's part due to the lower quality, I highly doubt they'd misinterpret a date.
