I think it's hard for them to advertise the game when they are still hammering out the fine details of how it will turn out exactly. Last thing they want is to say something and turn around and axe it the next day before release.

I think we will see more advertisement come nearing the end of Beta, but even then it will be on the players to spread word of mouth about the game. We can probably effect more change than SE's entire marketing team combined due to the public view on SE in general as it stands alot of people take what they show/tell with a grain of salt.

SE's advertisement is mainly in Japan much like Blizzard's is mostly in the US. Look at even Nintendo, you see advertisement on TV but not as much as x north american company, Nintendo advertises much more in Japan as well, just like Capcom and Konami.

I honestly have not seen SE advertise anything in...idk how long. When is the last time you saw a SE commercial on TV for any of their products? >.> For WoW they showed stuff in prime time constantly...everyone, even my mom would say"OMG this world of warcraft commercial..AGAIN!!!"

I have never heard anyone complain about SE advertising something too much. But like I keep saying its their problem not mine. I do not really care.

If they do not have anything to advertise with, okay that's fine. They should have known though Fall to Christmas (Black Friday) is the busiest time of the year when people buy new stuff...that is the BEST time to advertise anything. Then after Christmas it does not pick up again until March iirc.

And Elexia yeah that does make sense I understand. SE should keep in mind they should advertise heavily to all the audiences they are appealing to, not just their own country.
