Gahoo of Gamerescape has said SE confirmed it wasn't the PS3 version which does clear up some of my concerns, but still I don't understand why anyone would release a trailer in that state. It's already on the net being torn apart causing more damage then a promotional trailer should be.
Either that or who's lien? Square or Game-Watch?

Doesn't matter if the trailer was from the PC/PS3 version or even if it was video lag. The release of that trailer in that state is clearly unacceptable for a game that needs to prove itself. I would really like an explanation as to why that trailer was green lit because all it has done is caused further damage to the names reputation.

I don't think it's unacceptable, it's just not as good as we thought it'd be at this stage. It's disappointing for those who've been following 'the flood' over the last month or so.Doesn't matter if the trailer was from the PC/PS3 version or even if it was video lag. The release of that trailer in that state is clearly unacceptable for a game that needs to prove itself. I think we expected more but the wider public, especially PS3 owners, will think this looks pretty good. Looking online today, most folks outside of the forum seem quite excited by 2.0
I'm really still waiting to be blown away by some in-game footage. So far, I like the footage, but that's it, I just like it.
I remember seeing the first trailer for ffxiv back in 2009 and going nuts with happiness for days at the prospect of this game being made.

I haven't yet felt like that from any of the new footage, apart from maybe the limit break trailer first time round.
3 days left to see something that makes my brain melt out from my ears.
Come on Yoshi, bring it.

It might be important for SE's marketing team to do some benchmarking before putting these things out.
Then again, it could be that the Dev team is just doing their own marketing... which is a very bad idea.
Granted, I actually liked watching it because there were bits of new stuff we hadn't seen before in it, but compared to other MMO trailers, it fell FAR short of where it needed to be.
