If people are going to be moving for better latency I'd rather keep my server name and lose as little friends as possible.
Oh I'm not against showing where the servers are, but say if I want to play with everyone and Rdill JP have the biggest mix I would pick that one over the other two Ridill servers. So I'm not saying don't show where the servers are, I'm just saying that showing how many from each region is on said server might be a good idea for people that want to play with everone.

maybe add some further infos, that those servers are exspecially for those who want to meet diffrent players from diffrent regions. and keep the data center "hidden"

To your idea with the percentage:

How do you want to calculate it?

    - All player currently ingame?
    - All players that are registered to that server?

With both of these ideas problems will occur
Just check where the IP adress comes from? I don't care how many are currently online, the amount of player on the server is already shown with the chocobos. I'll I'm saying is show how many from each region there is on a server with a %.
