    What's Your Ideal Sixaxis™ Configuration?

Didn't bother searching for an older post, thought the topic deserved an up-to-date thread. Anyway...

I've been tooling around with the motioninjoy software for the Sixaxis & I'm just wondering what you have decided on for a configuration.

Personally, I can't get it perfect.

I think I'll map the tilt to the right stick in ffxiv config, that way the right stick will be free to be used as a mouse cursor & I'll map a right click toggle to something... Not sure what yet PS button most likely (or the R3).

I was also thinking it would be a good idea to map the number keys to the face buttons and create some different sets (ith xpadder) for various modes of play (battle, travel, etc.).

Anyway, have you anything to share on these matters?

Oh, & I can't get force feedback to work, I haven't tried the xbox emulation because it doesn't allow for tilt... Anyway, farewell.

Hmmm maybe the same a I use in the gamepad:

    Cross - Confirm/select
    Triangle - Open main menu
Square - Swap between passive and active mode
    Circle - Cancel
    R1 - ALT Macros/Swap Page
    R2 - Open Emotion Window
    L1 - CTRL Macros/Swap Page´
    L2 - Open Status Window
    Arrows - Change option/target
    Right Stick - Camera move
    R3 - Auto-Run
    Left Stick - Run
    L3 - Lock Target
    Select - Open Map
    Start - Change View

Although I think Square Enix should put more options for gamepad... Like open item window...

Yes, I prefer the Japanese mapping of O/X.
And i'd throw out emoticon menu for an "use item" menu.

Let's see.. I use one of those official snakebyte controllers, but the layout is basically the same, so I'll use Sixaxis button names for clarity:

    D-Pad: Menu Navigation.
    Left Stick: Movement.
    Left Stick Button: Autorun.
    Right Stick: Camera movement.
    Right Stick Button: View switch.
    Select: Status Effects.
    Start: Map.
    Triangle: Menu.
    Square: Emotes / Stack commands.
    Circle: Confirm.
    Cross: Cancel.
    L1: Ctrl macros.
    L2: Passive/Active switch.
    R1: Alt macros.
    R2: Target lock.

    Calibration setting: 0.1

Yay, 'above also uses the O/X configuration I like XD .. Though I'd keep the emote menu function. Blegh at not being able to access it through the pad, I think I'd go nuts -.-

    I've been using

    X - confirm
    Square - menu
    Triangle - emotes/Battle Regimen
    Circle - Cancel

    R1/L1 - macros
R2 - Using Xpadder, I have it bound to the keyboard hotkey for target nearest hostile.
    L2 - Lock target

    R3 - first person view
    L3 - Autorun

    Select - Map
    Start - Buffs
    Home - passive/active mode

I actually want a gamepad with 2 more buttons but I haven't been able to find one. Things would be a lot easier if Dpad targeting was better and if there were some action bar changes.
