    Forget that man I want to know where the freaking greatswords are! you can't have a final fantasy without giant surfboard sized swords! but yeah for dual wield I think it would be awesome for a musketeer for instance to be able to have two different guns and not have them paired up like monk weapons.

    SE can take either direction pending on the expectations of expanding the armory system.

    I'm hoping that they would take it in that direction. It would utilize the off hand slot other than it being used for shield or secondary DoL and DoH tools. Since Main Hand determines the class, then certain weapons could have off hand capabilities exclusive to a specific class/job.

    I actually hope they make dual wielding a class trait. This way other classes could use it, but other jobs could not. This in turn might open up new ways to play classes, and get people playing both jobs and classes instead of just jobs. Its hard to think about right now though since we have no clue how they are changing the entire system for 2.0

    I dont know if anyone said this but besides Ninja being probably the only one able to duel wield, Ninja weapons will probably come in a set.

    I say this because otherwise you could meld the powerful offensive materias on both weapons and it would be OP compared to the other classes.

    I see no need for an "equipable trait" but yes would be nice to give jobs the option to duel wield and have jobs in the future have the ability.

    Nowadays, GLA can meld weapon and shield, and it's not overpowered.

    Everyone should be able to equip main and off-hand.
    PGL/MNK weapons should be separated in two hands and works with a "dual wield" formula

    And for two handed weapons, grips in FFXI were a very good idea, in my opinion.

    i'm pretty sure there going to go for "paired" weapons, removes the need to rebalance or gimp a particular weapon because of its overpowered Duel Wield status. i was sorta hoping they would put the musket in "Musketeer" instead of an all pistol approach.

    I was kinda hoping they would give them 2 choices with weapons, akin to the way mage weapons currently work. Let them choose between a 2 handed rifle/musket with higher delay and dps, or duel wield pistols with lower delay/ dps.

    I totally TOTALLY want Ninja and Samurai in FFXIV: ARR... the battle styles, the AF gear, the weaponry, the ideals behind the job class... all of it. Heck gimme Ninja's that have unique emotes like this...



    Or unique emotes for a Samurai's iaido movements; and I shall shamelessly use one of my fav Villain's image for clearification here: (Vergil from the DMC saga)



    And of course, here is another great villian (Kagekiyo) whom I admired back in the day for his more distinctively Samurai looking gear (from concepts art of the Genji games)...

    BTW Devs... Kagekiyo's hair style is the EXACT kind of lengthy hair option that I've been requesting for ages... think we can get it this time?



    Yoshitsune's gear was also unique in its own style...




    Dual wielding Musketeer will also be highly appreciated... just PLEASE make sure the job quests for it is dictated by none other than the epic Admiral Merlwyb.
