Art is subjective. I never claimed that the game didn't have emotional or sentimental roots for some people. Just that alone doesn't make it art though. (again for me personally, as it's all subjective)Does it matter that FFXIV is art or not? It's still a merchandise with presentation, thus the emotional/sentimental aspect is still pretty important, even for the sake of selling the product.
Not that I agree that having arrows gives the game more emotional value though, this type of things can be achieved in other ways.
But emotional aspect of the game shouldn't be ignored completely.
