So by your logic, they should just get rid of ALL consumables and food since its not fair to expect players to keep thier chosen class/job properly stocked with the appropriate items? Not having bard/archer use arrows is a good thing. It really isn't fair that 1 class has to get singled out always having to buy ammo to do their job where everyone with a melee weapon that doesn't use ammo doesn't have to buy anything. It sucks when your having to spend like 80k for 1 stack of arrows.
Blizzard actually did the same thing for hunters the archer class in wow. Got rid of their ammo at the end of wotlk and gave them unlimited shots. Nobody really complained.

Nope. Food, potions are for everyone. Equal ground here.
Ammo to use your attacks isn't. Having 1 out of 7 classes being required to spend a bunch more gil just to do their job isn't fair. Warrior can do a bunch of fights with a Archer and at the end of the day the Archer has spent much more gil then the warrior, and that is unbalanced.
That warrior also probably spent much more gil on melds than the BRD did too, if we're going to get into the "balance" aspect, lets cover all bases. Hell chances are that BRD was in full AF too.Nope. Food, potions are for everyone. Equal ground here.

That's just a poor argument and unrelated to having to spend gil to use your normal abilities. Any class can spend a ton of gil on melds.
Fact: The archer spent gil to kill monsters
Assumption: The warrior spent more in materia melds

and maddening potion is for everyone? how about certain foods? I'm sure warriors really get a major benefit from taking ethers. Your logic still does not compute.Nope. Food, potions are for everyone. Equal ground here.

Archers need arrows to simply function.
No class needs any pots or food to function. Foods and pots enhance them. They can and are also used by ARCs.
Sure, warriors will be using maddening potions, but DDs will be using str/attack potions and mages will be using MP/m.accuracy/attack magic foods and pots.

Its like I said, everyone the game can use food and potions
A tank may use a maddening potion, while a melee would use a Mega-potion of Strength. Mages may use ethers, while non mp classes can use hp potions.

I use warped arrows near level cap... I may be the only one, but at the very least, no carpenter's going to be missing my gil after the switch over X)
"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
The whole reason I have leveled Carpenter up was to make my own arrows and now they are taking them out. Sucks to some extent but then again going through arrows is a pain in the neck. At least I will be able to craft furniture to sell to make up for the loss in arrow money.
